Evolve III, Fujitsu Limited, Lenovo, Motion Computing, Razer, Viliv and other manufacturers plan to release on the new platform for more than 35 models of innovative tablet computers and devices in a hybrid form-factors running different operating systems.
At the upcoming Intel Developer Forum conference in Beijing, Intel plans to talk about the new Intel Atom platform, codenamed Cedar Trail, produced in accordance with 32-nm process technology. The new platform will go to the production of more efficient netbook nettop computers and class all-in-one equipped with a passive cooling system. The composition of Oak Trail enters the processor Intel Atom Z670, which offers a smoother video playback, faster opening web pages and extra battery life without sacrificing performance. The platform supports video playback in 1080p and output signal via HDMI, as well as a popular technology for Adobe Flash.Intel Atom Z670 can be used in conjunction with various operating systems, including Google Android, MeeGo and Windows, which significantly extends the choice - this is especially true in the market, plates and transformers. Thanks to the placement of the graphics controller on a single silicon chip together with the main core has been achieved further savings in energy and space. Processor by 60% compared with the previous generation of chips, and offers the opportunity to work on a single charge during the day. Additional features include technology, Intel ® Enhanced Deeper Sleep, which allows to achieve additional energy savings in idle mode, as well as technology Intel SpeedStep. Built-in HD-controller provides smooth video format 1080p, consuming only a fraction of resources. The new platform, which includes Intel Atom Z670 processor and chipset, Intel ® SM35 Express, supports USB 2.0 interface and a built-in adapter, Intel ® High-Definition Audio, for sound quality home theater experience. In addition, the components do not contain lead and halogens.Being a good solution for devices in small form factor, the new platform is suitable for industrial PCs used in retail, and personal digital assistants in medical facilities.Recent allow doctors to make patient information and history of their disease in an electronic form, which increases productivity and reduces costs for office supplies. In addition to the Atom Z670 chip company offers Intel ® AtomTM Z650 with a 7-year cycle support for embedded solutions based on Windows operating systems and MeeGo.Based on a modern 32-nm technology, the next generation platform Cedar Trail will offer improvements in terms of multimedia and graphics, including support for the specification of Blu-ray 2.0, a dedicated decoder for video playback to 1080p and support interfaces, HDMI and DisplayPort.
