Sony announced a new line of Internet tablets based on Android.

Following companies Samsung Electronics, Motorola Mobility and Apple, Sony Japan today announced the launch of the first in its line of Internet Tablet-based Android operating system

  The company hopes that the new device will allow Sony to take a seat in the fast growing market of internet tablets.

  According to the company, the model is Sony S1 uses Android, 9,4-inch touch screen, as well as the back and front camera. The company also introduced a foldable version of the device S2 c two 5.5-inch screen, equipped with the Android OS and cameras. Both versions of the tablets are working on the new Android 3.0 Honeycomb, and also supports WiFi and WAN (3G/4G). From a hardware perspective, both devices use the Nvidia Tegra 2.

  In the company's announcement said that both devices will have access to a music service Qriocity and frameworks PlayStation Suite to access the content for Playstation.

  The exact date of commencement of sales and prices for the device in the message Sony is not specified.
